Surely the glory of journalism is its transience - Malcolm Muggeridge
A WEEK BACK, we reported that SGI wanted a Dell person to show up and testify in its continuing case against ATI – now Advanced Micro Devices, of course.
Dell responded late last week and said it would not be subpoenad.
Lawyers for Dell said the firm had done its best to comply with SGI’s discovery subpoena. Dell agreed to produce a 30(b)(6) witness – no name, no pack drill.
Dell has done nothing wrong, it claimed. Dell wants the judge in the case to deny SGI’s motion to compel.
The judge in Texas, possibly forced by blizzards of snow rather than blizzards from the plaintiffs and defendants, has decided to call a conference.
So the case continues. That will keep the lawyers snug as a bug in a rug during their Yuletide break, no doubt. µ
Only the panhandle of Texas gets snow....
Unless they are in it there is just rain and sleet and....

But on the bright side... We get to drink ice tea and wear shorts and flip flops on Christmas.
