Washington Post wipes Microsoft's Slate

THE WASHINGTON POST has snapped up Slate ending the nightmare that the Vole would start owning journalism.

According to the Wall St Journal, Microsoft has been trying to flog it for a long time because it didn't make much of a profit.

Publishing software is a lot more lucrative than publishing magazines, whether they are online or not.

Making chips is dead expensive.

Microsoft was not well suited to try its little Volish toes in this water. The first version of Microsoft Word for Windows didn't even have a word count function, for crying out loud.

The Vole is not as media savvy as it sometimes pretends. No details of the finances involved were stated. µ
