Isohunt back from the dead

Resurrection
Tue Jan 23 2007, 08:48
TORRENT site Isohunt was back online yesterday, a few days after its primary ISP pulled the plug without warning.

It is unclear whether the isohunters fled to Canada as promised to escape the long arm of the law, but the site was resurrected without such items as its forums yesterday.

Site operator, Gary Fung, said his ISP told him it had been legally threatened, leading to the decision to pull the plug.

Of the support he's received since, Fung writes: "We accepted about $6700 (NET after Paypal fees) in donations since we went down on Jan. 16."

He adds: "Indeed, people like you is the power of the internet, and for sure we'll need your help more in the future." µ
