INTEL MEANS IT, seriously.

After several years of owning the world's graphics market thanks to disastrous hardware named Intel Extreme (Slow) Graphics, the company is now preparing its foray into to the world of graphics cards with good, on paper, hardware. We had a talk with the Microsoft folk a while ago and learned that the whole reason why Intel hardware was not called crash'n'burn for Vista was a political one.

Mark Rein addressed Intel's problems a while back, anda couple of months ago, Intel held some meetings with memory vendors. Even though the partners for GDDR5 memory currently look pretty certain, La Intella now needs to focus on something else: building a distribution network.

The partners are carefully being selected, so now the sales guys from Intel are making the rounds around the world, offering special and wonderful treatment to the ones that will make the switch to the world of Intel-branded graphics cards. We are certain that several chains from countries inside European Union and they are considering supporting Intel's discrete efforts. We also know that at least two chains have already signed up.

We are looking forward in seeing what Larrabee can do, after hearing some good stuff about the product. So far, memory, PCB, and sales are being sorted - we wonder what is the next step. µ
