INQ plays spot the hack

THE INQ had hours of fun yesterday trying to work out which Brit hack had reviewed the HTC S710 mobile phone before us. The unfortunate guy or gal had left his personal data plastered all over the loan handset.

In effect he was 'doing a Paris Hilton'. Famous jailbird Ms Hilton lost her handset which was later found to include the personal mobile phone numbers for many of America's media greats.

Our HTC, however, merely had the mobile phone numbers of various prominent Brit hacks and PR gurus. Naturally the Mageek was in there but his mobile phone number was missing.

The game ended when we spotted that there were five members of the same family in the addressbook. One of whom is a well-known reviewer for The Rogister and Hugh's Reviews.

We shouldn't mock really since it is very easy to lose a review phone. It does bring home, however, the dangers of failing to password protect the phone. µ
