AMD shares slump

Tenth of its value plugholed

AMD's FINANCIALwarning yesterday is having a predictably negative effect on its share price as the chip maker's stock fell sharply today.

The chipmaker lost over 11 percent of its value as analysts noted Intel's refreshed challenge and a pricing war of attrition.

Intel was also slightly down as the AMD news and a warning by enterprise applications giant SAP threatened to sour the weekends of tech execs everywhere. µ
