IT SEEMS THE INDUSTRY is really gearing up for the festive period in a big way, with reviews coming in thick and fast as people attempt to decide what new gadgetry to blow their annual bonus on.

In that light Virtual-Hideout has been working particularly hard to bring us several new reviews. On their site you can find a Mushkin XP2-8500 (1066MHz) 2x1GB DDR2 Memory Review as well as a Zalman ZM600-HP 600w Modular Power Supply Review, a ECS PN1-SLI2 NVIDIA 590-SLI Intel Edition Motherboard Review and finally a review of the Sytrin KuFormula SHF1 High Performance HDD Cooler, which has also been reviewed by XSreviews here.

For those that are searching for more info about AMD's newly announced processor technology you can swing over to Elite Bastards to check out the AMD's Quad FX platform technology preview.

Rbmods has reviewed the OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Gold GX XTC Rev 2 as well as the Coolit Freezone CPU cooler, both of which receive fairly good results.

Alongside Decembers XFX Contest Bjorn3d reviews the QNAP Turbo Station TS-201 NAS Server, calling it this type of product 'the future of SMB/SOHO networks".

BIOS magazine is in a photographic mood bringing us reviews of the Canon EOS 400D and the Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX Plus.

TweakTown has reviewed the ASUS GeForce EN7950GT Graphics Card, which sadly makes a rather poor impression, and the eye watering Tagan TG1100-U95 1100-watt PSU which can deliver 80A from the 12V rail.

Phoronix has reviewed the rather novel Logisys Optical Finger Mouse which seems to be a great idea for people on the move with very limited space, and garners a most respectable 9/10.

Madshrimps brings us a NVIDIA 7950 GT Roundup - Speedbump to High End, comparing three versions of this high end chipset from Sparkle, Asus and eVGA. Also provided is an AMD and Intel Heatsink Roundup 2006 to help you pick your own winner from the vast array of heatsinks out this year.

LostCircuits has reviewed the Sapphire RADEON X1600 Pro HDMI which looks to be a great graphics card for someone wanting an HTPC.

PlanetX64 has been putting the Otterbox Rugged Laptop Case through its paces. It looks presentable and will do a good job protecting your notebook from most types of accidents.

PC Perspective has proffered up a Thermaltake Big Typhoon VX Heatsink Fan Review, which looks somewhat absurd, but certainly seems to the job.

For the multitudes of us who don't need an 1100W PSU, PureOverlock has put up a Mini Roundup: FSP FX700-GLN Epsilon & Thermaltake Toughpower 650W comparing two far more reasonably powered units.

Bit-Tech has put up the next creation from up and coming case modder Matt Fielder, this timing creating the Spiderman 3 case mod, which looks simply awesome.

Last but by no means least, at least not if you're looking for a new motherboard, IT-review has begun a AM2 MBO Round-up: Part I. ยต
