EX-QUALCOMM suit Jeffrey Belk got drafted in to join Peregrine Semi’s board of directors.

Belk spent 14 years at Qualcomm and according to Peregrine “examined changes in the wireless ecosystem” in his most recent role.

Peregrine has a marketing buzzword for its technology called Ultra CMOS. This is its silicon on insulator tech on a sapphire (nilam) substrate.

The hawkish firm reckons that this gives better performance than other processes like GaAs (gallium arsenide) and SiGe (silicon germanium) BiCMOS. µ
