According to Reuters, Fox and its subsidiary Jamba are rolling out wallpaper ringtones, screensavers etc to celebrate the release of The Simpsons Movie.

The mysterious appeal of this sort of junk is probably a sign that we are living in a cultural abyss where attention spans have been reduced to newt-like proportions but, sadly, it's a certainty that the latest attempt to chisel cash from the public will be a huge earner for News Corp. and the smart marketers that control The Simpsons franchise. µ
