Seven Nvidia phones and some liquorice allsorts debut

Computex 2004 A quick run around
Fri Jun 04 2004, 06:24
HERE IS A BUNCH of cool things I ran into over the last couple of days running around Computex. The first is a nice 23-inch monitor from Topvision, sold in the US by Planar. There are two things that grabbed my attention here, size and shape. The size is huge, no question there, 23 inches is a big monitor. The thing I really like is it is a 4:3 screen rather than the more in vogue 16:9. 16:9 is great for watching movies, but can get annoying for work. I prefer the traditional 4:3 if I am doing anything serious.

Gigabyte, the motherboard maker, had a neat wireless mouse on display. Nothing huge, it is a full size wireless mouse with some features of a wireless model, mainly the USB dongle rather than a full size connector. This allows you to unplug the mouse completely if you are not using it. It can be handy not to have long cables to a wireless connector. Neat, but not earth shattering.

Next up, Nvidia, and a product line from that you have probably have never seen before. While you probably have heard that they have a line of chips for PDAs and cell phones, I rarely get to see anything more than a demo at a trade show. There are real products that you can buy based on these chips, and here are seven of them.
