JUST ABOUT THE WHOLE world+dog have now written stories about AMD and its world shattering Oberon announcement last night.

There are stories on The Boy Wonder's site, a big piece at AMD Zone, at tec channel, at Van's Hardware, at JC's. Sheesh, even The Pabster has a story up there.

Many a name has been proposed parodying Opteron, including Flopteron and Onion, but we think we'll stick with Oberon, in honour of His Itanic Majesty Jerry III. Many sites do not appear to think AMD has made a very wise naming decision but as HardOCP points out, we all hated the Athlon and the Duron but familiarity bred contempt.

Now to other links.
