Chip test CPU-Z updated

Snooze to us
Thursday, 3 May 2007, 10:59
THE CHAPS at CPUID have updated CPU-Z to version 1.40. This will be information of devastating importance to, well, anyone who likes to know the intricate details of their processors.

This will include the legions of testers at hardware sites now gearing up for the launch of Penryn (45nm Core) and Bearlake (P35 with DDR3), since CPU-Z now has support for recognising both those architectures. There's also support for AMD 64 'Lima' processors, as well as for the three people using AMD Geode and Via P4M800CE.

The new Intel X38 chipset for enthusiasts is added to the line up, as is the older nForce 520 chipset. Where on earth can you find the 520?

Anyway, if cache details and chipset timings float your boat, you can find the latest version here. Knock yourself out. ยต
