Nintendo cuts Gamecube price

Just a wee bit

MAKER OF GAMES consoles with silly names, Nintendo, seems set to drop the price of its Gamecube later this month.

According to Gamespot, when one of its hacks was in Gamestop over the weekend one of the employees mentioned something about 'marketing materials for price change on the Gamecube'.

Apparently, the materials, which were sent for use in the company's next marketing period (May 3 to May 23), include GameCube posters with GameCube-branded stickers that read "New Low Price," according to the employee.

The marketing material didn't mention what the new price would be, but had a blank hole so that the retailer could write the price in felt tip pen when they got told the new numbers by Nintendo High Command.

With the new marketing material was a note saying that the new material was sent out so stores would be prepared if a drop was announced.
