A PAIR OF superb monitors is compared on hardware.fr. The Dell 2407WFP and the Samsung 244T go head to head in this French article. They are both 24-inch HD compatible 6ms access time screens with thin edges and designs to kill for. There are many improvements on the previous LCD generation with standard features like Pivot, card readers and multiple IOs. They are both capable of 1920x1200 pixels by the way.

Hardwarezone tests the Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 motherboard, especially the overclocking qualities of this component. It comes with an impressive array of features including a fullsize heatsink covering the i965P chipset. A new BIOS allows the FSB to overclock up to 360MHz. This means that while the multiplier is maintained at x6, the X6800 can go up to 2.16GHz.

Firingsquad has a roundup if Geforce 7600GS video cards which apaprently make the bulk of card sales, simply because customers don't want to fork that much for a video card. Two models, from XFX and EVGA are compared to the 7600GT, the X1600 Pro and the 6600GT. The EVGA model is equipped with a passive heatsink while the XFX is clearly aiming at the price sensitive power user with dual DVI and out of the box overclocking.

Fastlanehw reports on the Everglide G1000 gaming mouse and the Titan Monster mat. Both being marketed as Gamer's gear and are best used together. The mouse is a seven button model with a rather peculiar design which might not suit everyone. Obviously, it is a corded model with an optical system rather than a laser one. As for the mat, it is made with Bibertek Woven fiber technology. Guess it means that you will frag more now.

Tomshardware tests an external SATA/ATA to USB 2.0 external adapter made by Brando. It is even compatible with 2.5-inch and 1.8-inch models. It does the job right and is not as expensive as an external hardware solution. It will come handy if you want to connect an internal hard disk drive without opening your computer's casing.

Laptopmagazine checks the HP Compaq TC4400 Tablet PC which is equipped with a Dual Core CPU. It weighs in at a respectable 4.6 pounds and can be converted from a tablet to a traditional laptop in seconds. The screen is a small 12.1-inch but is more than enough for mundane tasks. As well as the reviewer, You will still prefer the model from IBM which is cheaper and lighter. µ
