Camcorder uploads to Google

At a click
Tue Oct 17 2006, 10:21
MAKER OF TINY video cameras Pure Digital has released a camera which uploads your film to Google video in a single click.

It is one of the first cameras that are purpose built with the YouTube style market in mind.

The camcorder costs $129 for one that holds 30 minutes of video clips and $169 for a 60-minute version and feature one-click uploads to Google Video and Sony's Grouper video-sharing service.

It takes out the need for all the conversion software normally required and installs it into the camera.

The market for traditional camcorders is flagging at the moment, which inspired the outfit to look for a new niche.

At the moment the camera will not work with YouTube, but Pure Digital is hoping that now Google has bought the video juke box his company will be able to do that too.
