DUTCH firm Philips said law authorities in several countries have started an investigation into anti-competitive practices in the CRT (cathode ray tube) industry.

Philips didn't say which countries had started the probe, but that its own policy is to conduct its business complying with the law.

In a statement, it said it takes investigations into potential violations of the law very seriously, and will assist the different authorities in their investigations. µ
