Samsung creates HDTV 70-inch LCD TV

Ours is bigger than yours
Monday, 21 August 2006, 07:15
GIANT KOREAN firm Samsung said it's designed a 70-inch LCD panel you can put in your living room, if your house is of a size to take it.

It claims that the largest LCD-TV screen size is 65-inches, and it will show it off this week at an event in Korea.

The panel has 1080p resolution and video signal of 120Hz. Other than this, there were no details of further specs or of proposed pricing.

Samsung will start churning out the models in the first half of next year aimed at what it calls the ultra large screen TV segment.

That will let it go head to head with plasma and projection TV competitors, it said. µ
