TSMC fined $30.5 million in trade secret case

It will appeal
Wednesday, 26 September 2007, 15:08

PURE PLAY foundry Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) said a US district court has awarded UniRAM technology $30.5 million for breaching its trade secrets.

TSMC said in a prepared statement that it's always held itself to "the highest standards of respect for intellectual property" and it thinks the verdict is a mistake.

So it's going to appeal - or in its words it "intends to pursue all defences vigorously". ยต
