ONE OF the biggest Taiwanese flat panel firms is predicting industry recovery, meaning you can expect to pay more for your LCD monitors and LCD TVs.

According to the Taipei Times, AU Optronics said it will make a profit in the current quarter because the prices of flat panels continue to rise.

The trend started in April and AUO is increasing fab production to meet additional demand, the report said. Samsung also expects industry recovery. µ
