PALIT CAUGHT us off guard with announcement of its 6200 AGP card. Nvidia still doesn't talk about 6200 AGP as so far it only announced 6200 and 6200TC PCIe. Palit already has a 6200AGP.

We reported last week that Palit is likely to acquire Gainward in Taiwan.

The Palit 6200 AGP card has 128 MB or RAM and we suspect it's based on the NV43-V chip. The company already has a PCI Express version of the 6200 card listed and it has also announced a 6200TC card. The 6200TC card has less RAM on board as it can address system memory. It's based on NV44 chip.

The card will support VGA, DVI and S-video out and if the picture is right won't require a power connector. We don't have any timing on these cards but we would he happy to update if Palit would like to comment.

I am sure that other companies will have 6200AGP cards but most of them still don't talk about it. Nvidia is in a state of hush about this right now.
