Corsair poaches salesman from Sandisk

Computex 2006 Hot scoop, to be shure

IN ORDER TO RAISE the stakes and enable higher turn-over of the company, Corsair Memory poached a new vice president of Sales. Paul McGuire is pretty well known person in the industry, since he is an experienced cruiser in a sea of memory manufacturers.

His track record include posts at Fujitsu, SanDisk and Lexar, but Paul was mostly known as director for the PCMCIA standard. The goal of hiring him was to raise the profile of Corsair and reorganise the whole sales department and it remains to be seen how will affect the business of the company. From his previous experiences, you should not be surprised if the competition kicks things into the fifth gear and starts a bonus-price hike. It's definitely a good time to look at the memory industry. Especially if you specialise in sales or marketing and want a good job.
