Aopen cube licks Prescott heat problems

At $420 it's a snip
Mon Jul 12 2004, 10:34
JAPANESE WEB site said that Aopen has released a cube EX915 system which solves potential heat problems with Prescott LGA 775 chips by using a copper heat pipe, as well as other devices.

That, says web site Akiba PC Watch, means that the cube will be able to cope even with Pentium 4s 560s.

The system uses Intel's "Grantsdale" chipset, has one PCI Express and one PCI slot, supports 2GB of DDR 400, surround sound, serial ATA, Firewire and other features supported.

The site estimates the cube will cost around ¥45,000 (about $420), and there's pictures at the web page, here. µ
