DRAM spots continue to fall

Memory prices down, down
Tue Sep 11 2007, 11:54
THE PRICE of DRAM on the spot market continues to decline and demand for PCs is sluggish.

So said memory market watcher DRAM Exchange, which closely tracks the market for the useful little chips.

Describing the spot market as sufferering from "significant price erosion", many shops and DIMM sellers are marking down prices with the benchmark DDR2 ETT prices falling lower than this year's previous low and down by 17 per cent.

It never rains but it pours, in the good old DRAM marketplace. µ
