HW Roundup Weekend Edition

OUR FRIEND SCOTT Dr. Damage Wasson from Tech Report suffered a fever in Tunisia and completely forgot that HD2900XT does not come with UVD, a feature present only on HD2400 and 2600 chips. However, his review (and many others) posted that 2900XT indeed comes with UVD. We will post our own take soon and explain the confusion.

PC Perspective took a look into the world of SD cards which are currently in the lead when it comes to digital camera memory market. PCPer tested a grand total of eight different SD cards.

Whoopty from XSReviews tested a special treat for any hardcore hardware enthusiast - EVGA's own 8800Ultra, to be known as Superclocked version. Seeing that this card costs as two factory- overclocked 8800GTS 640MB or HD 2900XT, we can't stop wondering was this Ultra a real refresh for Nvidia or just a pathetic response. Launch of 8800Ultra actually ended with people able to get two-for-one deals with better performance, and this is something that we cannot stay silent.

If you are wondering what ASUS isn't manufacturing, you might think again, because Virtual-Hideout posted a review of their CPU cooler - Arctic Square.

Phoronix tested ECS NF650iSLIT-A motherboard, based on nForce 650i chipset. Tested operating systems were of course, of Penguin kind.

HardwareLogic tested Lian-Li PC-A08 Classical Series aluminium case. This is a two-tone finish case, so you can imagine what will you get if you can afford Lian-Li's asking price.

BCCHardware tested Ideazon Merc Keyboard, and guys obviously loved it. If you want something more from a peripheral that could aid you in loosing your fingerprints, check this review.

Legit Reviews decided to go Bluetooth and reviewed Plantronics Pulsar 260 Bluetooth headset - a headset for multipurpose cellphones of today.

In serious segment, LegionHardware tested Synology Cube Station CS407e, a four drive NAS. If you require ton of hard drive space, check out this review.
