Google chooses AMD servers, claim

And Dell wants to license OS X - but, surely... surely...
Thu Mar 02 2006, 18:49
WE NOTE on AMD Zone that it's spotted a story saying Google will start using AMD servers.

That, said Mark Edelstone from Morgan Stanley, quoted on Smartmoney.com, was based on research efforts it had made.

This is not the only curio to come our way today. Moles from within Dell are feeding some of our customers the word that Dell may try and license OS X from Apple.

This is way more unlikely, but in the hall of echoes, whether it's a crazy rumour or not, there may be an underlying truth. Dell, no doubt, sees Apple as a threat - perhaps not so much on the bulk PC front - yet - but getting in the way of its wishes to grab the consumer market as well.

Sometimes the wildest rumors come true although thankfully, often they don't. 2006 will be an interesting year for me and my sister, Eva. µ
