Europe writes Google a billet doux

GOOGLE HAS had a letter from the European Commission asking it to explain its policies about privacy.

The Dow Jones Newswire said privacy watchdogs wrote the letter and would like the Sainted Company to tell it how long it keeps records of personal data it derives from searches on Google.

Earlier this year Saint Google got rid of IP references in searches after 18 months.

Google has got to get back to the €urocrats by early June. µ
