Kingston heatpipe memory pictured

IDF Spring 2008 HyperX FB-DIMMs ahoy
Sunday, 6 April 2008, 15:47

KINGSTON DID NOT have an official presence at IDF, but the firm did have goodies to show. Take these new high performance FB-DIMMs for example.

Yup, those are dual heatpiped FB-DIMMs plugged into a skulltrail system, and they are wearing HyperX livery, so performance is obviously the goal.

Two heatpipes and blue spreader

They are lower latency FBD/800 parts, lower even than the already quick CAS5 parts that came with the initial systems, and will probably clock pretty well too. Sources at Kingston say these are still being tweaked, but expect production parts soon. µ

The angle that picture was taken at makes my brain hurt. Which was upside down, the photographer or the box?
