Dell goes pinko with PC designs

Dell is not dull, honest

THE GREAT SATAN of Hardware is attempting to shake off its dull image by introducing notebooks and desktops which will come in a riot of colours.

The Wall Street Journal reports Dell will also roll out an ad aimed at people who buy PCs with the meaningless mantra "Yours is Here" as part of its attempt to shake off its dull image.

Some of the range will have machines coloured yellow, green, red and pink, and the Journal quotes a man from Dell saying "the growth is in consumer", which means, we think, that the firm, as part of its attempt to shake off its dull image, wants people to buy PCs and notebooks with a touch of bling.

Just a few weeks back, Dell, as part of its attempt to shake off its dull image, started selling its machines at Wal*Mart. One machine is less than an inch thick and comes with a remote control.

No doubt before we know it we'll see Michael Dell kitted out in fashion wear like Steve Jobs, as part of the firm's attempt to shake off its dull image. µ
