Chinese president apologises to Mike Magee

Massive loss of face
Tue Mar 04 2003, 00:48
Monsieur-le-president CHINESE PRESIDENT Jiang Zemin (pictured left, and blagged from his newspaper) has publicly apologised to Mike Magee for the mistakes his newspaper has made. The People's Organ, also known as the People's Daily stole words and phrases wholesale from your soaraway INQUIRER, on Sunday.

Jiang has had journalists who ripped off the INQUIRER story about Microsoft code pay for their own bullets as the PLA (People's Liberation Army) executed the chief executive's orders, we can misleadingly report, today.

"I am really, really sorry for breaching the world copyright rules," said Jiang.

"It will never, ever ever happen again, I can assure you. Now we belong to the World Trade Organization we realize that stealing other folks' copyright is a terrible thing to do," he said.

"A cheque for 25 trillion Turkish lire is in the post. That should pay for the cost of postage."

Jiang, don't worry about a thing. We're still waiting for our US $100,000,000,000 as a cheque in the first class post. µ

* POSTSCRIPT We made this whole story up, 'cos the People's Daily is still ripping us off...

** HISTORICAL NOTE Many Scots were cleared from the Highlands after Kings from Hannover determined and were minded they should be, err.. cleared.

*** LATEST SOCCER SCORE Scotland 10, PRC -1
