Wednesday, 30 August 2006, 10:46
MOTHERBOARD MAKER Micro Star has released a new range of motherboards which it says are Core 2 and Vista ready.

The G965/Q965 series are based on the Intel G965/Q965 Express chipset. They work at FSB 1066 and support dual-channel DDR2-800.

The graphics core is based around the fourth generation Intel GMA X3000/3000 family and offers support for DirectX 9.0c, Shader Model 3.0 and Clear Video.

One of the more interesting things is that the series is being billed as totally Vista ready, which means that it should be able to handle the graphics demands of the new operating system.

G965/Q965 series uses ICH8DH for the south bridge, and integrates Intel PRO Gb LAN and Matrix Storage technology to save and play the various digital contents through RAID configurations.
