Creative begins volume shipping of Zen music, video players

A CREATIVE LABS representative tells us the company plans to start ship volumes of its sexy Zen V MP3 players in September.

Funnily enough, though, you can already buy these in Europe and in the US. The flash memory based devices have appeared in German etail outlets, with the 1GB Creative Zen V starting at €103, while the video-charged Zen V Plus sells for €125.

Creative is to aggressively assault Apple's iPod. And we would certainly like to get our hands on one of these 43.5 gram players. µ
