Quake K8 benchmarks emerge

OC WORKBENCH has been playing with an Athlon 64 3100+ for a week or two now. Now it's posted some Quake Demo 001 benchmarks on its web site, which you can read by clicking here.

Dan at Dan's Data gets lots of letters like the INQUIRER. In his latest bundle, here, there's stuff about people breaking IDE connectors, using "heavy water" to overcool and other nuclear stuff.

Beyond3D has taken an Albatross GeForce FX 5900 variant, detached it from an antient mariner's neck, and reviewed it, at this URL.

On the Opteron theme, Game PC has tested the 244 PC in a number of different configs and come up with some benchmarks, which you can read about here.

Cool Tech Zone has got hold of a Sunbeam Acrylic Case and gives it the once over at this Interweb address.
