How does the toilet really work? I don't know - Captain James T. Kirk
Cooltechzone brings a portable USB sound speaker system from Altec Lansing under review. The XT1 is destined for notebook users but can equally be used on a desktop, especially by those who like me, have learnt to hate power cables. The XT1 uses USB to power itself.
At itreviews, the Dell Axim 50V gets the knife. This top of the range PDA from Dell offers VGA resolution on a 3.7-inch screen, a 627Mhz processor and 139MB memory as well as a graphics accelerator. No, this is still a PDA, not the specs of a 1999 computer.
Straight from the guys at the Moditory comes the Déck Backlit keyboard which at $99 a unit is not cheap for a wired keyboard. From its conceptors point of view, it is the first backlit keyboard designed exclusively for modding gamers. Not impressed? So go here for more.
Still for gamers, the X-Trac Mouse gliding kit, complete with the Mad Wax, made from Carnuba wax and mixed with Teflon. The rest of the kit is made of the HS Pro pad, especially designed for optical mice, and the Mad Dotz. More about the review here.
A triple whammy for t-break. The first reviews shows the Intel 3.46Ghz Extremely expensive CPU. Abbas rightly points out that a small win margin should not allow Intel to sleep on its laurels especially when AMD is moving ahead fast and furiously. The second article, also by Abbas, exposes the HIS x700 Pro iCEQ, most probably one of the most aesthetically compelling graphics cards on the market, surely the winner of any forthcoming graphic card beauty contest. But will it impress as much when faced with the 6600GT and the likes? Third and last, the black horse from ATI, the x800XL card which is supposed to rule the mid range at a SRP of $299. This card is better than a 6800GT SLI setup in some apps, which speaks volume about its performance.

The Sunbeam Chameleon - as reviewed by MVKtech - is a RGB laser projector light kit complete with four LED laser projector which finds its place in the 5.25-in bay of a computer. Andy Hanley from hexus lays his bare hands on the MSI NX6600-VTD128E Diamond and does some nasty things with it like taking it apart. it does have VIVO capabilities with excellent overclockability and as a 6600 card should do well indeed.
An interesting review at GZeasy. The Unika Geforce6200 graphics card. Unika as far as I remember is a computer manufacturer, not unlike Gericom and the likes. The article which is simplified chinese gives you some serious hint on how to mod your 6200 card to a 6600 card at the very least and to a 6600GT with some luck. Now if that is possible on those dirt cheap 6200TC, it would be a very good deal indeed.
Mikhailtech reviews the AKASA AK-688 black Knight copper HSF which includes a 3.5-inch fan controller as well. Mikhaitech find it to be a good performer, certainly much better than the stock Intel fan.
