Asus preps RD600 board

DAAMIT for Intel
Wed Nov 15 2006, 10:13
ASUS' RD600 boards should be ready by the end of this month and the company wants to promote what might be the last DAAMIT chipset for Intel.

We don't have too many details about the board itself but it should surface by the end of the month, a bit earlier than the DFI board scheduled for some time in December.

We hear that RD600 might be an even better overclocker than the RD680i but we still have to check these claims. Core 2 Duo Extreme is still the fastest gaming CPU that can give you quite some platformance.

And soon you will have two equally good competing chipsets that may be even better than Intel's own. It is called an option, the right to choose, the right to pick Graphzilla's or DAAMIT's chipsets instead of Intel's.

I am sure that the panic alarm has been rining in Intel's chipset division for quite some time as the graphic boys are catching up with the Intel stuff. µ
