Browsing the INQ with Firebadger 3a6
Firefox 3 includes a new database engine to manage bookmarks, so people has been advised before to backup their bookmarks before running Alpha releases. At the same time, pre-release builds of Alpha 7 are available over here. As you can see in this article we downloaded Firefox 3 Alpha 6 and it didn't crash on us when doing simple browsing.

Among the list of fixes in this release is "improved cookie performance", support for site-specific text sizes, an newer SQLite database engine, a permanent "Restart Firefox" button in the Add-Ons Manager, and "A new Quit dialogue box that resolves termination errors", in addition to other engine and stability fixes.
Bookmarks in FF3-a6
People who do not want to be guinea pigs are better waiting for more stable official betas or for the more conservative, the "release candidate" versions. The first beta version of Firefox 3 is expected at the end of the month. µ
