Mageek branded an Intel employee - by Intel

IDF Sir, you can't replace him

HAS THE Mageek - aka Mike Magee, founder of this esteemed publication been hiding something from us? Is he really an Intel employee?

Mike had to duck out of attending the IDF (Intel Developers' Forum) here in San Francisco at short notice. Hence, Tony (Tonethefone) Dennis, agreed to deputise for him at short notice.

Mysteriously when our Tone tried to register for IDF this morning, his details were nowhere to be found on the system.

"Well, try Mike Magee, then?" our man in San Francisco suggested helpfully. "Mr Magee is on our system but you can't deputise for him," came the firm reply.

Why not? The answer was truly shocking. "You can't deputise for an Intel employee," we were sternly informed. Despite our protestations, IDF staff were adamant that Mr Magee is an Intel employee.

What's the awful truth? We should be told. µ
