New York Times says that if you drop a line to George W. Bush it's much harder than it was before.
The newspaper reports that the White House has set up a labyrinthine system which even asks if you support his policies and makes you fill in a lengthy form.
And the US administration is suggesting that if you want to contact the president of the US, using snail mail, a fax or even the jellybone is preferable.
So does this mean that George W. is being overwhelmed by messages such as "Anyone willing to lose 30lbs in 30 days free", "instant dental coverage" or "Yes you can get 50lbs of free lobster"?
Not at all. Apparently, according to the New York Times, it's just a way to make emailing the pres "more straightforward" than before.
We suspect Bush is more computer literate than our own President Terry Blair, who yesterday got 14 standing ovations when he addresses US politicos.
Over in his own country, Terry is lucky if he gets one standing ovation at the annual Labour Party conference. And he regularly gets slow handclapped, the last notable occasion being by that fiery radical militant organisation, the Women's Institute.
Can't our American readers lobby George W via the new convoluted email system to make Terry Blair a US citizen so we never have to see his like again? ยต
