Buddhist monks warned to stop using social networking sites
BUDDHIST MONKS are using social notworking sites to seduce women, prompting Thai officials to call for them to stop doing so immediately. The request may have come a tad too late as Karma Police in the North East of Thailand today arrested a 23 year old monk for using the internet to lure a teenage woman to his temple, where he subsequently raped her.
On Tuesday, junior minister, Jakrapob Penkair, told reporters "I call on Hi5 users to tell the monks to leave the site if they are found using it". So no more adding monks to your friend's list.
According to Reuters, it is not rare for the Thai media to air reports about wayward monks caught abusing or peddling drugs or being promiscuous with women.
But Thai officials have urged the monks to act in ways more befitting of a their religious status, with a senior Culture Ministry official saying the monks should use the Internet to bring Buddha's teaching to more young people.
Ladda Thangsupachai, head of the Cultural Surveillance Centre, echoed this sentiment and said, "Instead of using the Net to flirt with young girls, monks should find ways to preach Dharma and lead them in the right direction". µ

Buddhist churches should be no more connected with Buddhism, as they often go against the most basic things what Buddha taught.

Absolute Morality, the Truth within, without a single exception regardless of beliefs and desires, is exactly the same within ALL for Morality is that which is benelovent to ALL whereas “morality”, finger-pointing, is for the benefit of the finger-pointer only.
