"Turn off the TV and get active in your own home," says Ninty's advert, a mock-article a bloke from UK Resistance.co.uk found in women's rag "Prima".
It's proof without doubt that Nintendo really is aiming for a different gaming audience than the norm, having advertised in a women's magazine aimed at general non-gamers.
Maybe it's a pre-Christmas attempt to convince mums that a Wii would be beneficial to buy their sons or daughters rather than an X-box 360 - after all, in the ad campaign, it claims that the Wii will help you "get active in your own home."
"Unlike most exercise, it won't feel like a chore or a bore," the ad claims. "Revolutionary games like Bowling let you use the handset to replicate the movements of spinning the ball, so not only do you get all the health benefits of a little light exercise, it's just as much fun as a trip to the bowling alley." Of course, you'll have to supply your own smelly bowling shoes.
