Hot spot at home

MOBILE PHONE outfit T-Mobile is allowing two headsets in its range to connect to home Wi-Fi networks.

The move will mean that those with poor reception in their homes and who would like to drop their landline have an option.

The phones hand over calls that are already in progress from Wi-Fi to the mobile network if you leave the hotspot.

The Sydney Morning Herald points out that the iPhone, which has built in Wi-Fi, can't manage that. T-Mobile's phones also automatically connect to the company's 8,500 commercial hotspots in the US. µ
