THE CHIPSET DOESN'T even get announced until next month, but eager-beaver retailers are already advertising boards based on Nvidia's 780i.
Over at Idealo.at there is a listing for the Asus Striker II Formula, a €250 board in the ASsus high-end line up.
According to the listing, the board has all the standard features of the 780i chipset (including three PCI-E x16 slots) as well as a couple of standard PCI slots for Physx and Audigy cards.
Check it out here (thanks to Google translate).
Delivery estimates range from Thursday the 29th through to the first week of December - although our sauces seem to suggest that boards won't actually be available until the second week of December, and that these folks could be telling porky-pies. µ
"as well as a couple of standard PCI slots for Physx and Audigy cards"

Nice subtle zinger there.
