Alexa switches off web site comparisons

Because caparisons are invidious, presumably

STATSAHOLIC REPORTS that web counting site Alexa.com has disabled its own widgets after an argy-bargy it appears to have had with the stats machine.

Alexa is not ABC Electronic nor AC Neilsen, but it offers the ability to compare one web site with other similar web sites, giving the ability to see which way the winds are blowing, and also the waves that wash into the web shores.

An entry on this bog explains the nature of the argy-bargy, but according to the Statsaholic site here, you can still get comparisons if you use a browser called Firefox.

There is another way around this problem. Get a piece of paper and a pen or a pencil, and note down the figures. Then boot up Excel, enter the numbers and create a graph. It's the way forward. µ
