Bask in the glow of an iYule fireplace

THOSE LOOKING to get in the Christmas spirit might like to take a look at the fantastic iYule, a log fire simulator for your computer, PDA or Iphone.

Touted as 'a fireplace in your pocket' (let's leave the bad romance novel analogies out of this) it features a video of a roaring log fire, complete with authentic crackling sounds, and a rather relaxing piano score twinkling over the top.

For those looking for a warm, fuzzy screensaver for their PC/Mac/Xbox/AppleTV, or even a little slice of home comfort whilst on the go, the iYule must be for you. You crazy fool.

And for those of you too cheap to fork out the $5 (which goes to charity, you Scrooges) then enjoy the Flashy free sample here. µ

Wow !

A 30-minute video of a log burning. Count me impressed !
And what are we going to get for Easter ? A 30-minute video of an egg in a basket ?
Ahh, progress. Such wondrous things it brings !
By the way, does this conflict in any way with the VHS of a burning log that was on sale several years ago ?

Quick clarification

I appreciate the post, but I want to point out we're not giving all the proceeds to charity. We're giving 10%. That's what we were raised to do.

Our Web site never says we're giving ALL the proceeds to charity, but people started blogging that, and then other people are getting upset, so I just wanted to clarify! :)
