THE SWEATSHOP BOYS in Cappuccino have announced that their ring-a-ding Itunes Store has just sold its five-billionth song.

That's revenue in the region of - all together now - five billion dollars.

Apple reckons that that makes it the largest retailer of music in the US. It has a catalogue of eight million songs, which means each song has been bought an average of 625 times.

Jobs' mob has also been crowing about the newly added movies capacity of the store. Apple recently added movie rentals to its catalogue of movies to buy, and the Store is now serving up around 50,000 movies per day to US customers.

Movie renting has just been added to the Store here in Blighty, but has not gained significant press coverage or marketshare as we wibble. µ

An effective solution to being mesmerised is to reaffirm, “I am my own master”, but then, you have to realise the difference between desire and addiction. A pure desire is love whereas pure addiction is just addicition [to being “guilty as charged” but “let me do it again – pretty please”. “Why, of course sweetie, just repeat after me, ‘You are my very own master’ … now, open wide ….”]. Music? What music. You mean expressions of “fun, love and more, snort, fun …”. Just ask, if you dare, how the “music” was created. Was it from the left [where the musical “flats” reside] or the right [where the musical “sharps” dwell] and we are not talking about “commies” or “pigs”.
