Swiftech offers free Socket 775 adaptors

How to override S775's crappy mounting design
Thursday, 5 July 2007, 15:00
A READER said that Swiftech is performing a free replacement programme for all owners of the Apogee series of waterblocks.

Unlike the previous mounting system that used classical Socket 775 mounting which was easy to place, but very hard to remove, this mounting system includes a hard mount backplate that goes under the motherboard, and is compliant with all socket 775 motherboards.

Swiftech claims it paid special attention to early revisions of 680i reference design that ended in thousands of motherboards sold by BFG, EVGA, XFX, Inno3D and so on.

If you own an Apogee water-block, head over to forums using our complementary l'inq and learn how can you get the new mount. If you plan to buy Apogee water-block, it should come with new retention kit already. ยต
