Some Abit boards have XP bother

THERE'S A POSTING OVER AT OC Workbench which says some Abit boards have problems running the XP.

The boards concerned are the KT7, the KT7-RAID, the KT7E and a set of other mainboards, details of which you can find at that site.

In fact, a reseller has just posted us a copy of AMD's list of Athlon and Duron approved mobos (includes the XP supported ones too).

That lists the KT7, rev 1.01, as a supported config but for the A1200-200, D850, not the XP.

Abit, in our experience, is actually very careful when it tests mobos and platforms - you'll remember we ran a story earlier in the week saying it was taking especial care over the Nforce chipset, which might mean it won't arrive until the end of November, or December. ยต
