Ebay fight over Elvis Presley's car breaks out

A little less conversation, a little more litigation
Tue Aug 02 2005, 08:19
A 66 year old man has got ‘all shook up' about an Ebay sale over the legendary king of rock-n-roll Elvis Priesley's motor. Gene Epstein of Wrightstown claims Jason Shepherd ‘aint nothing but a hound dog' for allegedly reneging on a bid he made on eBay to buy Presley's 1969 Mercedes Benz.

But Epstein is not going to heartbreak hotel over this little number. He wants Sheperd to pay the original bid, along with $150,000 in damages.

"Once an item is removed from the active sale list on eBay and listed as sold, its reappearance on the active auction listings creates the impression that the item being sold is in some way unsaleable or unmarketable," the lawsuit says.

However just to prove he doesn't have a wooden heart, Epstein will let Shephard off if he issues a specifically worded apology he drew up and pays a "token" amount. Sounds like he is caught in a trap, and can't get out… More here.

A recipe for Elvis Presley's favourite sandwich. which he was eating when he died getting rid of one he prepared earlier, can be found here. µ
