Harry Potter hacked, plot beans spilled, claim

L33t haxor or pimply hoaxer
Wednesday, 20 June 2007, 17:46
SOMEONE, POSSIBLY a l33t haxor but possibly also a pimply hoaxer says he sneaked virtually into the offices of Harry Potter publisher Bloomsbury and made off with a copy of the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The dastardly rat has posted on the web for all to see all sorts of secrets said to be culled from the hotly-anticipated final installment in the Potter series.

Poor Hermione!

You can read the rat's posting here, and make your own mind up about its contents. Or you can ignore it and wait for the book.

The poster says he and his buddies hacked in to Bloomsbury's PCs using a "milw0rm downloaded exploit, delivered by email/click-on-the-link/open-browser/click-on-this-animated-icon/back-connect to some employee of Bloomsbury Publishing."

Alarmed by the Potter's undermining of the Christian faith and disturbed by its "Neo Paganism", the hackers say they made the spoiler "to make reading of the upcoming book useless and boring."

We alerted Boolomsbury to the claim and anticipate a reply shortly, assuming our divination powers are up to scratch. ยต
