S3 GRAPHICS has announced today that its Chrome GPU product drivers have been fully certified for Vole's Vista, and support the S3 Graphics Chrome S27 and the Chrome S25 GPUs.

According to S3 Graphics, the Chrome S20 series gives users a stable and high performance graphics platform that would run well alongside Vista Premium, allowing users to take advantage of important new additions such as the translucency effects. Now that the drivers have been officially certified, S3 Graphics and co will be able to ship out systems with that all-important Vista Premium sticker.

Vice president of software engineering at S3 Graphics Iming Pai said in a press release that the Chrome series GPUs are now "ready to provide users with the best experience that Windows Vista has to offer."

"The software team at S3 Graphics has worked hard to ensure that our drivers deliver the performance and robustness they have come to expect," Pai said. He went on to say that he and his fellow mates at S3 Graphics are "very pleased" that the drivers are available just as Vista has officially hit the shelves. µ
