Be careful if you're benchmarketing
Monday, 15 October 2007, 10:35

TEXTRONIX HAS told its customers that it's had reports of TDS 3000B oscilloscopes "burning at customer sites".

Two reports are in - both included a TDS3BATB lithium ion battery, connected to the mains.

It's telling its customers to stop using the TDS3BATB batteries right now because of the potential for injury to people and property.

The TDS3000 and 3000B oscilloscopes are safe when the battery is removed. It's investigating what the problem is.

The problem is lithium ion batteries. There more and it's here. µ
